Is there a move-in fee or community fee?

No. We have no community fees for either The Wealshire or The Ponds. You may put a $1,000 deposit to be placed on our waiting list. The deposit is 100% refundable.

Do you have private rooms?

We do have private rooms, although there is often a wait list for these rooms. If you are having an elective surgery and will need rehab, we encourage you to contact our admissions department in advance to reserve your room. Our team can be reached at (847) 883-9000.

What are your visiting hours?

We have a receptionist available from 8am-8pm, however family is welcome at any time. You can ring our doorbell after hours and a manager will greet you and let you visit.

Can I bring a family pet to the facility?

We would love for your family pet to come visit. Please remember to clean up after them and take the proper safety measures at all times. All pets should also be kept on a leash.

Is there a beauty parlor?

We have a beautician that operates a full-service beauty parlor Tuesday-Saturday. You do not need an appointment, residents are taken on a first arrived, first served basis.

What articles of clothing should I bring?

We recommend a few changes of comfortable clothing and a pair of comfortable rubber-soled shoes. All articles should be washed, clearly labeled with resident's name in permanent ink. Other personal items should be marked or engraved for identification. We advise that patients do not keep valuable jewelry or large amounts of cash in the facility.

Will Medicare Part A cover my stay in the facility?

Patients must have a Medicare card that reads "Hospital Insurance." They must also be admitted to the facility with a physician order within 30 days of a three consecutive night hospital stay. Generally, during the first 20 days of care, Medicare will pay 100%. For days 21-100, a daily co-insurance rate is required. However most Medicare part B Medicare does not cover skilled nursing fees over 100 days.
