Testimonials

Dear Jennifer,

Recapping our conversation yesterday, I wish to commend The Wealshire/The Ponds for the wonderful care you give to my father and all the residents who reside there. As you know, my father, Amandus (Red) Rottman, moved into the facility almost two years ago after a hip fracture, which required physical therapy rehabilitation. He also had increasing dementia issues. He has lived on both sides of the facility so we have had the good fortune to work with staff from both buildings.

Three employees in particular deserve my highest complements for their care and compassion. On the Wealshi re side, Calvin Christian became one of my father's caregivers during the recuperation phase of surgery. Dad and I still go back t o visit Calvin from time to time, and I suspect that Calvin makes the trek over to the Ponds to check on Dad periodically. Dad alw ays lights up when Calvin says hello and shakes hands with him.

Since living in the Sydney household on The Ponds side of the facility, Dad has been cared for by two outs tanding CNSs. Edgar Lopez takes care of Dad during the early part of the day, Augie Sanchez cares for him in the afternoon/evening . Both men have made it their business to know Dad's likes and dislikes. They both strive to provide compassionate, loving care. I marvel at their patience and understanding. I think both men go about their work as if they were caring for their own family memb ers, Both treat my father with dignity and respect. I am grateful for their kindnesses, and I rest assured that he is in good hand s when I am unable to be there with him.

While I'm extending compliments, may I take a moment to sing praises of the activities staff! These women work tirelessly to liven up the days for all the residents. I enjoy being in the facility because it is a happy home. Without comp romising safety, they manage to create fun and festivity for all! Thank you! Keep up the great teamwork!

Sincerely,
Kathryn R. Bratton
