To all of you wonderful people,

You are too numerous to name and unfortunately, I don't even know all of you. There are a few of you who know me: The amazing nurses I get to see such as Virgie, Kulwant and Jennie, the wonderful CNAs Claudia, Armida, Phyllis, and so many others Jo Ann also talk about in flattering terms but who are not there when I come around, and whose names I therefore do not retain, the very creative and fun activity people: Alice, Cathy, Susan, Piedad, Mike (I am sorry if I am misspelling names and I especially apologize to those I am forgetting. I KNOW there are others.), the physical therapists Jennifer and Isaak, and let's not forget Tito, those responsible of nutrition (a special thank you goes to Annette who is always so kind and cheerful), the maintenance people who keep this place immaculate, those responsible of laundry (I feel for you when you have to get home and do... laundry!)... so many of you, so many extraordinary human beings.

You do so much, and what you do is so meaningful. You positively affect the life of people who almost completely depend on you. What a responsibility, and how well you handle it! You are caretakers, peacekeeper, you provide physical and emotional wellbeing, you entertain and stimulate, you soothe and you cheer up. You truly are angels. It is not only what you do that counts, it is also the way you do it: with kindness, caring and patience. You allow those who depend on you to keep their dignity, to think, to grow, to learn, and in so many cases, to keep a smile on their faces.

Jo Ann has talked of so many of you in such loving terms. Chris and I would like to take this opportunity to thanks each one of you from the bottom of our hearts. We hope you know how appreciated you are. We are very grateful to you and hope that this season has beautiful surprises and precious moments in store for you. We wish you a very happy holiday season and a happy, gentle, peaceful and healthy New Year.
