Blake Household's 6th in-house outing. "Hot - Hot - Hot In the Hub"

On Wednesday the 27th of May the Blake Household was the setting for Blake's 6th in-house outing. "Hot - Hot - Hot In the Hub"

The Blake Activity room was decorated with Mexican decor in recognition of "Cinco de Mayo" The tables were set-up adorned with chili pepper designed table cloths, red luncheon plates, and red dining utensils and chili pepper designed napkins. There was authentic Mexican music for residents to listen to while dining.

Activity staff drove to Hawthorn Mall to purchase lunches for carry-out and served all the residents restaurant-style lunches.

There was an extensive menu, starting with residents having home-made guacamole and salsa and tortilla chips prepared by our dietary department. Next residents were served rice, beans, choice of soft or crispy tacos and assorted types of burritos.

For dessert there were cinnamon crisps, and to top off the not so spicy meal residents enjoyed Mexican Fruit Flavored Soda.

Our next in-house outing will take place on June 24th where residents will enjoy "It's Grill-in Time in the Hub" 12:30p.m. To 1:30p.m.
